Hello, my name is Rob. I am here to help you follow your own internal signals back to a life you can recognize as authentically your own. Back to a place that you can call home.
Rob, what are you really offering here?
My most important offering is safety. You must find someone you feel absolutely safe with to properly take a look at accumulated hurt and pain. Not much happens unless you feel safe.
My second most important offering is to help you restore trust with yourself. How might it feel to know you can trust your own internal signals to navigate your life by? How would it feel to know that your life, exactly as it is, is pointing you in the right direction?
How will you help me trust myself (again?)?
Together we will gently and respectfully turn towards your own internal signals.
We will use evidence based methods to safely inquire within to discover and unburden painful and repetitive patterns that were formed in response to unprocessed extreme experience, a ruptured relationship or a broken trust.
The modalities I work in are Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Aletheia Unfolding Paradigm and Primal Trust: Somatic Nervous System Regulation and Neural Retraining.
What are these "painful and repetitive patterns" you talk about?
Do you identify with any of these patterns of behavior?
"If I’m flawless, I won’t be exposed or humiliated."
"If I achieve a lot, I'll be worthy of love and attention."
"If I’m in control, I won’t be overwhelmed or betrayed."
"If I’m indispensable, I won’t be discarded or forgotten."
"If I’m busy, I won’t have to face my emptiness or fear."
"If I’m helpful, I won’t be dismissed or forgotten."
"If I’m self-critical, I won’t be caught off guard by others’ judgment."
"If I’m distant, I won’t be vulnerable or betrayed."
"If I prioritize others' needs, they won't leave me."
"If I’m quiet and agreeable, I won’t face conflict or disapproval."
"If I’m invisible, I won’t be targeted or hurt."
"If I’m small, I won’t be a burden and get hurt."
Can you see how these patterns are trying to help you but often go too far and cause harm or unintended consequences?
Experiencing these patterns is completely normal—everyone does at some point. A lot of people aren’t ready to admit it, and that’s ok, but they do end up feeling stuck.
It’s easy to think you’re the only one dealing with this, which can make you feel isolated or even hopeless. But rest assured, you’re not alone—you’re in good company with others who understand.."
Together will get to know your inner world gently and respectfully. We will build trust and restore
a healthy relationship with yourself.
Why should I trust you, Rob?
